When it comes to celebrities and the tabloids, all we hear about is cosmetic surgery gone wrong. But what about all those subtle, successful cosmetic surgeries the stars have had? The camera picks up every flaw and shadow. Movies stars are paid to be splashed across the big screen for our inspection. And celebrities don’t have a lot of privacy out on the streets either. I was in Hollywood, a while back, in the Beverly Hills Mall actually, and found myself standing at a checkout line next to Ed Marinaro who looked excessively self conscious. Later in Starbucks, across the street, I was in line with Joan Van Ark. I noticed that no one looked at them, in fact, the other customers seemed to look away from them. I guess in Hollywood it is polite to give stars their space, and you look sophisticated too by appearing not to be impressed. I might add, at that time I spotted no obvious scars from surgery on either Ed or Joan’s faces at that time! Of course, I was not supposed to stare!

But what about all the stars we see that look so good? Most of these people are naturally good looking to begin with; let’s face it, along with talent, that is how they got the job and that is how they keep their jobs. • Jane Fonda underwent a very well done lower face lift and blepharoplasty. She stated this in 2011 interview with ABC news.
• Nicole Kidman said she has had BOTOX® injections in her forehead.
• Dolly Parton has had cosmetic surgery on her eyes, lips and breasts.
• Both Simon Cowell, of American Idol, and David Hasselhoff  have had BOTOX® injections.
• Although they are all natural beauties, Tyra Banks, Katie Holmes, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Scarlett Johansson, and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz each had such excellent and subtle rhinoplasty it is hard to believe those are not their natural noses.
• George Clooney confessed to having blepharoplasty and surgery for the lines in his face.
• Michael Douglas had a subtle face lift that did nothing to diminish his character.
• Both Mariah Carey and Demi Moore deny the help of a cosmetic surgeon, so we will have to believe them. However many other doctors do not and have taken odds on just how much all their “non-surgery” cost them.
