New Poll: What Do You Think of the “Botax”?

The proposed cosmetic surgery tax would add a 5 percent charge to any procedure performed by a medical professional that isn’t necessary to alleviate a deformity arising from trauma, disease, or congenital abnormality.

Many have called it discriminatory (because women predominantly purchase these services), arbitrary, and an "auditing nightmare."  We’re curious about what patients think.

    Your parents can find out what your insurance plan will and won’t cover. For example, breast enlargement surgery is considered a purely cosmetic procedure and is rarely covered by insurance. But breast reduction surgery may be covered by some plans because large breasts can cause physical discomfort and even pain for many girls.
