Allergan reminded consumers of the safety of its silicone breast implants in a release, after news reports that France was recommending women have their Poly Implant Prosthese (PIP) silicone gel implants removed. PIP used cheaper industrial silicone instead of medical silicone for the implants to save money, according to investigators. A non-surgical option for double chin reduction shows encouraging results in clinical trials, according to an investigator for the study. ATX-101, an injectable drug, reduces the amount of fat that develops under the chin (also called submental fat).
